Education: I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education K-8 from Crichton College in Memphis, Tennessee. I have an additional endorsement in Hearing Impairment K-12.

Experience: I have taught the 3rd grade for 13 years and the Hearing Impaired students for 12 years for DeSoto County Schools. Currently, I am a Preschool Teacher at Horn Lake Elementary School.

Bio: My name is Cindy Spivey. I am a Pre-K teacher at Horn Lake Elementary. My family consist of my husband, Randy, my college-aged daughter, Grace, and my 11th grade daughter, Josie. We have a Jack Russell mix, Lucy, and a Chihuahua, Rosie. I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. My family moved to Southaven when I was a Freshman in College. Randy and I have been married for 24 years. We attend Hope Baptist Church in Olive Branch, MS. In my free time, I enjoy painting and spending time with my family. I also enjoy using sign language to interpret music. I absolutely love my teaching job at HLES! Go Eagles!

I have listed some websites and YouTube videos for you to use with your child while the schools are closed at this time. Currently, we are working on recognizing upper and lower case letters, recognizing the student's name, recognizing numbers 0-10, counting 1-10 and 1-20, identifying shapes, and identifying colors. Thank you for working with your child at home. This will ensure that your child continues to progress in his/her cognitive development in the Preschool Program.
