About the Teacher

Education/Experience:  I have been teaching for 20 years.  I have taught Pre-k thru 2 grade in general education.  I have taught Life Skills 3-5 year olds, resource special education classes and 7th grade intervention.  I have 8 years experience in Special education.

 

Certification:  I have three licenses.  I hold a Texas license for Early Childhood thru 4th grade general education, K-12 Special Education.  I hold a Tennessee License for Elementary Reading and K-12 Mild to Moderate Special Education.  In Mississippi, I hold a K-12 Mild to Moderate license, Elementary Education, and Early Childhood Education.

 

I have a Master's Degree from LeTourneau University in Curriculum and Instruction, a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration and have completed 18 months of teacher preparatory class work.

 

I am married, 42 years now,  and have 3 grown children - all married.  We have 7 grandchildren, ages 24 years to 4 months old. We love to play golf.  We just built a house on the lake and are looking forward to fishing. 

 

My favorite children's author is Eric Carle and other reading is Karen Kingsbury.
