Education: I graduated from Ole Miss in May of 2009. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.

Experience: I was a Teacher's Assistant in Desoto County for 5 years before completing my degree. This is my 15th year as a classroom teacher. I spent 11 years at Horn Lake Intermediate School and this is my 4th year to be teaching 2nd grade at HLES. Desoto County is the best county to work for!

Bio: My name is Melissa Fairchild. I teach 2nd grade at HLES. . I am married to my husband, Michael. I have three children. My son lives in New Mexico. My oldest daughter is married and lives South Carolina :(. My youngest daughter lives in Coldwater. I am proud to say that all three of my children are products of Desoto County Schools. I have lived in Desoto County for 34 years. I am blessed to be a part of Desoto County Schools.
