I graduated from University of Mississippi better known as Ole Miss, in 2011. I have a B.A. in Elementary Education (K-6) and concentrations in English (7-12) and Social Studies (7-12). After teaching Spotlight for a year, I returned to Ole Miss to pursue a certification in Gifted Education. I plan to return to school to pursue a Master’s degree although time frame has not been determined.

This is my 4th year teaching Gifted Education.  Prior to teaching Spotlight, I have worked with students of all ages ranging from pre k to middle school.

In addition to teaching 3rd, 4th and 5th grade Spotlight at Horn Lake Intermediate, I also teach 2nd grade Spotlight at Shadow Oaks Elementary.  I must say that teaching Spotlight has been the most fun and fulfilling of all my teaching positions!

My name is Olivia Moore and I am one of the Spotlight teachers for the 2016-2017 school year!  This is my fourth year teaching Spotlight and I am extremely excited to be here!  I have worked with children in many age groups prior to working at HLIS and I must say that teaching at this school has been a wonderful experience! I have a lot of new ideas in store for our class this year.  We are going to have a fabulous time!

I am the youngest of four children.  I am happily married and have been for 9 years and we have no children of our own.  I love to travel and learn about new places and cultures!  This summer I spent a month in Japan!  It was extremely fun and quite enlightening!  I cannot wait to share this experience with my students!  I am so excited to have your child in my classroom this school year!  I look forward to working with you both!
